Game Farm

This Game Farm has been around for ages- on a farm property is a protected area filled with deer, elk, horses, cows, bison, and more. The family has also moved the old New Rockford train depot onto their property, in disrepair but still beautiful. As we were leaving the grounds, we noticed BEARS in a fenced in shed. Seriously- freaking BEARS! There was also a roof piled with antlers and racks from various animals- evidently elk horns are ground into powder and sold in Asian countries as an aphrodisiac. Who knew?

Not sure what gave you the right to post these pics of personal property but I am a little bit upset about it.... perhaps permission would have been in order. There had come a time about 15 years ago that this farm was flurishing and beautiful and many people came to see it. The government came and threatened to take all of the animals away if special permits were not purchased. You see, they feel as though the animals are being exploited by having people, (neighbors, friends, schools) come out and see the hard work and family "hobby" farm that we had if we didn't purchase permits and allow government officials on the property to inspect and order specific guidelines. As this is a slap on the face to someone who has raised animals all of his life and only does it because he loves it, the government coming in and taking the rights away is just rediculous. Financially, it was not feasable either. At any rate, I am upset that you posting these pictures my cause "exploitation" on the animals that my family has fought so hard to keep. Perhaps next time, you will think twice about posting pics of just anything or anybody.
