A word on food.

Those of you who know me well understand I've got a bit of a food obsession- doesn't mean I'm a food snob, per se, but I just..... appreciate good food. Traveling to the midwest from a big city generally means a downgrade in the culinary delights category, usually you wind up eating tons of fast food and icky stuff. There were quite a few hits though- much to our delight, an amazing street vendor set up on the town gazebo square was working through the day & night turning out incredible burgers, fresh cut fries dusted with seasoned salt, and delicious egg sandwiches (pictured here). New Rockford residents: Corey & I strongly suggest making that stand a permanent fixture! Who needs a fancy restaurant anyway? We also indulged in daily frozen treats from Nathan's (no relation to the Coney Island boardwalk hot doggery) which everyone just calls the Dairy Queen, where they shake up a mean 'Tornado' which is related to DQ's famed 'Blizzard' but is MUCH much better. They also do a pretty taco salad, too. Yum!
