Back in Brooklyn
Ok- it's sunday morning and Corey and I are typing away in our garden- it's a bit chillier than when we left, definitely feels like fall! I'm trying to get all my photos organized and orient myself back to city life.... we were talking last night about the trip and how much fun it was, Corey mentioned that he always feels a bit different in the city after time spent in ND, especially New Rockford; and that it makes him feel less harried and frantic and more inclined to 'take it easy'... I said I thought it wasn't about feeling LESS of anything, but just feeling MORE human- and I hope the spirit and warmth of the people in New Rockford sticks with us for a long time. Everyone should experience the hospitality of a small town- especially such a special one.
I know the web address of this journal is spreading like wildfire in New Rockford- for all of you who are curious about where we live, here's a picture of our street in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and a snap of Prospect Park, which is right down the street. No grouse though.
(news flash. Corey is perusing the Vorland real estate website right now. We may be back sooner than you'd expect)
